CLASSIC OFFICE STYLE WITH A PENCILSKIRT IN WINTER
… and it doesn’t have to look boring!
A pencilskirt and a black blazer are always a good choice for a classic office attire. I still have to wear boots but keep a pair of classic black pumps in my office so I can change to lighter shoes when I am inside..
However, an office look doesn’t need to be dull and conventional and therefore I personally never wear a white blouse with my blazer… Even when you have to follow a certain dress code at work, you can still add an eyecatching piece and make your look more individual and stylish.
Today I have chosen my pencilskirt with animal prints and my favourite long necklace – a top in a bright colour or distinctive pattern or shape will also work well. Alternatively you can go for a big statement necklace or a leather blazer. Just one special piece should be enough to get away with a boring look but give your work outfit your personal touch.
Over the last couple of years I have worn a lot of leopard prints but now I am a bit tired of them. I’d rather only add accessories like a scarf or my leopard ballerinas, especially when I am wearing black. The prints of my pencilskirt aren’t typical and certainly not leopard anyway but look a bit like giraffe pattern, that’s why I made an exception today 😉

A very elegant look. Isn't it funny how you got tired of leopard print?I thought it would never tire. Well, you found a good alternative.
Have a lovely and relaxed weekend.

Beautiful look, and beautiful snow!!! You're right, the print on your skirt does look more like a giraffe than a leopard… I love it! I really love a turtleneck/polo neck top under a blazer like you are wearing. It is such a classically elegant look with just a touch of badass! Beautiful, Annette. xx
I like that look a lot. I used to wear a lot of pencilskirts but lately I find myself more in full midi skirts.
That's the sort of outfit that can take you so many different places. So wearable. But I'm going to miss those sparkling snow scenes :-(.
Annette – firstly, these photos are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING…!! The light is so beautiful, the white „floor“ has made you look so radiant! Top marks to Jasmine 🙂
Your work outfit is an example to everyone who works in an office – you don't have to look bland, ever. The clever accessorising with the long pendant and the animal print skirt (giraffe, yay!!) show just how chic you can look in workwear. Just wonderful.

I agree with Catherine – this shoot is divine! There is something almost magical about it.
As for your outfit, as I work for myself I don't really have to buy office wear. However, there are occasions when I need to attend meetings and your styling goes to prove that office wear needn't be boring.
