Am Tag bevor ich aus London zurückgeflogen bin, haben meine Tochter und ich noch einen sonnigen Nachmittag genossen, waren ein bisschen shoppen und bei unserem Lieblings-Inder Dishoom King’s Cross, wo es den besten Chai Latte überhaupt gibt! Die Zeit haben wir auch noch für ein paar Fotos genutzt. Das Wetter war herrlich, aber auch extrem windig (sieht man an meinen Haaren – das ist keine Dauerfrisur!!) aber in London bieten sich ja unzählige Locations für Innenaufnahmen an.

 

Orange – strahlend und nicht zu übersehen

 

Momentan ist Alena gleichzeitig mit ihrem Abschlussprojekt als auch ihrer Bachelor Arbeit beschäftigt und ich kann es kaum glauben, dass sie in ein paar Monaten schon ihr Studium am Central Saint Martins abschließen wird. Glücklich und gleichzeitig sentimental macht uns das beide, denn diese Uni, Teil der UAL University of the Arts London, ist etwas ganz besonderes! Die Qualität der Ausbildung, die einhergeht mit ihrem Platz 1 im Ranking der Mode Unis weltweit als auch die internationale Atmosphäre und individuelle Betreuung durfte Alena in den letzten Jahre hier erleben.

Das Gebäude, ein teilweiser Neubau rund um einen alten Viktorianischen Getreidespeicher („Granary Square“) verbindet wunderbar den alten Backstein mit modernem Stahl und Glas. In einer Art Aula, die den Empfangsbereich und die große Bücherei mit dem eigentlichen Studententrakt verbindet, haben wir unsere Fotos gemacht, da es hier durch das Glasdach schön hell ist.

Wenn ich in London bin, tauschen Alena und ich immer unsere Garderobe aus und so trage ich hier ihre auffällige Wickelbluse – schon auf meinem Instagramfoto hatte sie Euch so gut gefallen und vor längerer Zeit habe ich sie schon einmal in sportlicher Kombination hier vorgestellt.

Derzeit liebe ich lässig-weite Hosen! Diese schwarze mit weißen Ziernähten habe ich mir in London bei Mango gekauft und möchte unbedingt noch eine rote, gerne an den Beinen noch weitere Hose. Übrigens hat sie sich auch Alena gleich ausgeliehen und das freut mich sogar sehr, denn dann weiß ich, dass ich richtig eingekauft habe 🙂

Sind das die stylischsten Fashion-Bloggerinnen über 40?

The day before I returned from London, my daughter and I spent a sunny afternoon together, did a little bit of shopping and – as always – had a Chai Latte at our favourite Indian place, Dishoom King’s Cross. Don’t miss this place when you come to London, it is awesome!
We also had a chance to take some photos but despite the sunny weather, it was also extremely windy, so please ignore my messy hair – this is not my new ‚do‘!

 

Orange – a bright and radiant colour

 

Currently Alena is focusing on her final project as well as her BA theses and I can hardly believe she will already graduate from Central Saint Martins in just a couple of months! We are both happy as well as feeling emotional  since CSM which belongs to UAL University of the Arts London is a very special university. The quality of instruction continuously takes CSM to the No.1 position in the global ranking of fashion schools and has been Alena’s „home“ over the past years.

The building where we took these photos,  perfectly combines an old Victorian granary („Granary Square“) and modern glass and steel architecture offering a huge, high entrance hall connecting the admin offices and library with the actual students‘ wing.

Whenever I am in London Alena and I share our clothes and this bright wrap blouse is actually hers which she got from Zara last year. It has been really popular when I posted it on my Instagram and I already wore it in a casual-sporty combination here on the blog last year.

Wide leg cuts are my new favourite type of trousers! I got these black ones with white contrast seams from Mango in London and have already worn them a couple of times. Right now I am looking into a pair of red palazzo trousers and they might not be the last one in that style…
